Based at one of our two production facilities in the regional NSW town of Bathurst, a fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Plant Manager to lead the Kelso team. Reporting to the General Manager Manufacturing NSW, you will act as the business owner and run the Kelso site with a high degree of autonomy. You will lead your team to produce a wide range of frozen products in a safe, environmentally sound and cost effective manner with a core focus on developing culture and capability, and migrating toward best practice and the continuous improvement of all we do.

The Kelso facility produces frozen product including fish portions, fish fingers, vegetable and chicken snacks. Our retail brands include Birds Eye and I&J and our customers include the major supermarkets and independents across Australia. Simplot Australia is moving to a category model, therefore you will be part of the Category Team and have input in to strategy, innovation, sales & marketing and the S&OP process as well as full supply chain responsibility.
Full day-to-day site management of one of 2 production facilities
To be successful in this role, you will be able to show a proven record as a Plant / Site Manager ideally in a FMCG manufacturing environment. You should hold an understanding and application of best practice, change management and a technical understanding of Safety Leadership, LEAN and Six Sigma. Your capability and experience will be a driving factor in the sustainable future of the Kelso site and in securing a growing footprint in the food manufacturing industry.
You are a resilient, highly accountable results driven leader who is tertiary qualified (Manufacturing, Engineering, Science, Business or similar), however it will be your ability to lead, inspire and positively influence the whole site within a challenging manufacturing / FMCG environment that will ensure your success.
