Based at our leading production facility in Ulverstone, Tasmania, a fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Plant Manager to lead the team. Reporting to the General Manager Manufacturing - Tasmania, this is a critical role for a significant commercial asset of our business. In this role you will lead and manage the Ulverstone team to produce a wide range of potato products in a safe, environmentally sound and cost effective manner with a core focus on continuous improvement. You will bring your commercial acumen and broad functional experience to the role to ensure the plant provides and continuously improves products and service to customers and consumers. The Ulverstone facility produces potato product including fries (coated and uncoated and different cuts), potato gems, hash brown and potato granule. Our customers include the major supermarkets and independents across Australia as well as foodservice customers including McDonalds and KFC.
This leadership role provides a diverse range of accountabilities and challenges. To be successful in this role, you will be able to show a proven record as a Plant / Site Manager ideally in a manufacturing environment. You should hold an understanding and application of best practice, change management and a technical understanding of Safety Leadership, LEAN and Six Sigma. Your capability and experience will be a driving factor in the sustainable future of the Ulverstone site and in securing a growing footprint in the food manufacturing industry.
You are a resilient, results driven leader who is tertiary qualified (Manufacturing, Engineering, Science, Business or similar), however it will be your ability to lead and positively influence the whole site within a challenging manufacturing / FMCG environment that will ensure your success.
