What is the role?
A rare opportunity is currently available for an experienced and motivated individual to join our Enterprise Solutions function as a Credit Officer based at our Mentone head office for 12 months. Reporting into the Credit Team Leader and working within a close knit team, this role will be responsible for maintaining credit accounts within a designated portfolio while identifying any financial risks and minimising exposure to bad debts.
What am I responsible for?
- Identification and preparation of direct deposits and cheques
- Cash allocation of payments and account reconciliation
- Develop a recovery system and initiate collection efforts
- Review and recommend action for accounts trading outside credit terms and policy
- Ensuring claims are actioned in line with credit terms
- Identify opportunities for process and continuous improvement
- Investigate and resolve customer queries
- Assist with month-end closing
- Cash Flow reports
What does success look like?
To be successful in this role, Debt Collection experience is a must, a team player, you will collaborate and support your colleagues and work effectively cross functionally in a fast paced environment. Your strong communication skills allow you to influence externally and conduct appropriate debt collection activities. Experience with JDE is advantageous, however it is expected that you will have intermediate MS Office skills (Excel, Word).
